At HKSTP, our workforce, tenants, incubatees and facilities are our most valuable resources. No one aspect of our business is more important than providing a safe and secures workplace and operating in an environmental sound manner. Effective implantation of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) programs can prevent injuries, control losses and minimize environmental impact. We expect our tenants, incubatees and contractors to join us in providing a workplace free of uncontrolled hazards to people and environment.
Everyone’s responsibility of Health, Safety and Environment:
The preparation of this HKSTP SHE Handbook is to clearly communicate HKSTP’s SHE requirements and expectations to all tenants, incubatees and contractors. However, it does not replace or limit the requirements of local regulation. It is the tenants, incubatees and contractors’ obligation to meet applicable SHE requirements whether or not they are addressed in this document. Tenants, incubatees and contractors shall ensure their employees and subcontractors understand these requirements. For laboratory activity, additional requirements and expectations are applied and the tenants, incubates and contractors shall refer to the SHE handbook - laboratory and research safety requirement.
Please see the acknowledgement at the beginning of this document. An authorized representative from the tenants / incubatees / contractors should sign the receipt prior to commencing work in the HKSTP’s premises with a copy being submitted to the HKSTP. The signature should indicate an acknowledgement and understanding of the requirements of this document. The information in this document should be communicated and jointly enforced by HKSTP personnel, Facilities Management Office (FMO) / Lab FMO, tenants, incubatees, contractors and sub-contractors.
Before moving in / starting work in HKSTP premises, tenants, incubatees, and contractors shall contact the appropriate HKSTP personnel and follow the requirements of SHE handbook. For work at all the buildings of HKSTP, contractor must register at the reception desk of that building.
